I am a warm weather person through and through and as the chillier months creep along I dream of the warmth of spring into summer.

I try to wait patiently to set up our outdoor eating and lounging area, but usually start too early and have a few soggy pillow experiences along the way!

Once the sun is here to stay, I jump on the opportunity for al fresco dining, lazy brunches and lunches on weekends, and casual dinners under the twinkle lights.

I love having easy pieces in the wings to dress up our rustic wood dining table:  plaid tablecloths and napkins paired with a driftwood garland. 

 
A subtly colorful touch like a madras plaid napkin paired with a  french water glass for water, wine and everything in between...

 
Summertime is all about easy and casual, and that's why I look forward to it all year.  Memorial Day Weekend is upon us...wishing you many lazy days of summer ahead!
